Same Kingfisher as my previous photo, got him leaving the water with not one but two fish!

Hi i would try the rspb they might be able to guide you or the staff at minsmere because there are people that ring birds inthere spare time i used to keep birds of prey untill i got into photography and they have to be registered the rspb should know who put the ring on and they may be interested in what you know about ken .
got some pictures of kingfishers myself this year but only sitting they are under scorpios somewhere hope this helps .
also i you have apond anywherenear you they tend to into them if we have a hard winter keep you out

Hello All, Lovely to meet you to Colin, your Snow bunting photos are fantastic, Janice, my hide was indeed very cold but worth the wait!
David, Great minds etc etc, I have had to be very patient with Ken the Kingfisher, as i was telling Colin on sunday he's suddenly obtained a ring on his leg in the last couple of weeks, wonder where i could find out about this?

Snap i have the same equipment carry on the good work as with all wildlife knowing the movements of what youare after pays dividens along with patiance.

the pictures are very crisp, i don't think i could get this quality and i have a canon mklll with canon 28-300 lens, mind you i don't use a tripod but have image stabilization on it. If i had to wait to get these sort of shots i would certainly have to use a tripod because of the weight.....

Hi Scorpios, Thanks for the kind words, i used a Nikon D90 with a Sigma 150-500 zoom lens on a tripod (From a very cold hide!!)
