Little and (very) large

Today's newspapers have dramatic pictures of the 66,000 tonnes cruise ship, MSC Opera, crashing into a moored tourist boat near the San Basilio vaporetto boarding point on the Giudecca Canal, Venice after (seemingly) it broke free from its support tug. This photo (taken in June 2017) of sister ship, MSC Poesia, towering over the gondalas and other small boats near the junction of the Giudecca Canal with the Grand Canal, shows graphically why large cruise ships ought to be banned from the Lagoon.
